What We Do

Pre-Release: Life Planning Workshops

We offer Life Planning Workshops to those likely to be released within a twelve-month period. These workshops help each participant build a personal re-entry plan, addressing key challenges such as:
  • Applying Godly principles to daily life
  • Finding safe, affordable housing away from negative influences
  • Securing stable, satisfying employment
  • Managing stress and avoiding substance abuse
  • Handling finances and building savings
  • Growing a lasting relationship with Jesus, supported by a community of believers

Pre-release life planning workshops are only available where permitted by individual prison leadership. Where such access is not permitted, we may consider offering the workshops post-release if a group of clients are interested and available on an agreed date. Otherwise, our mentors will convey workshop material based upon the needs of their specific client.

Post-Release: Mentoring

Once a client is released, we pair them with a trained mentor (sometimes alongside an alternate mentor) who provides consistent encouragement and accountability. Our mentors:
  • Respect clear boundaries between their private life and the client's
  • Don't act as the solver of every problem, and never provide money directly to clients
  • Don't offer legal advice
  • Connect clients with governmental and private resources as needed
